I'm Enchanted by Everyday Enchantment

I truly am enchanted by the Everyday Enchantment Tarot by Poppy Palin.  I'fe had Poppy's Waking the Wild Spirit for many years and it's been such a personal and wonderful deck for me. It's been uncanny and magical when reading for myself.

However, her new deck called the Everyday Enchantment is absolutely a masterpiece, both for Poppy and in the Tarot world as a whole. I'm putting away all my other decks and this will be MY deck from now on. I'll be using it professionally and personally as well. It's that phenomenal. I've been reading cards for 20 years now, reading professionally for the last 15 or so years, and this deck tops them all. If you want a contemporary deck, by all means get this one! You'll never be sorry. Even the book that goes with the deck is a masterpiece as well. I've been working on doing a review of the deck but it fails me how to put into words exactly what I want to express to describe this wonderful creation by Poppy Palin.

I have decks I really love and that I've used successfully for years. I mean no disrespect the those wonderful creations and I'll read with those if specifically requested, but my working deck will always remain the Everyday Enchantment henceforth.

I'll just share a few things about the deck to give an idea of what it's like. For one thing, it's very large in size. The card stock is a dream that's both matte and flexible. I normally won't use great big decks but in this case, I'll make it work!

I went on a road trip last September over to a family reunion near the Idaho/Oregon border and then up to the Snake River area. down the Columbia River and then down the Oregon coast Hwy 101. Along the way we stopped at various shops and antique malls. At one of them, I found a beautiful yarn that was spendy, but my son had given me money to spend on the trip if I wanted to. I bought four skeins of this beautiful hand-wash-only yarn. I've been saving it for just the right special use, but the Everyday Enchantment won over every other use I had considered. I crocheted a beautiful spread cloth with a pocket on the end that holds the deck. When unrolled, I can spread my Scrabble Spread in full with room for extra cards if necessary. No better use could have been made for this yarn. I've still got a little of the yarn left to make myself a pair of hand warmers or a winter hat..

I'll try to figure out how to post pictures of my deck and cloth soon. I have to take some photos first and upload them. Stay tuned!
